Education for Ministry

Education for Ministry (EFM) completed its 2020-2021 season from January to July, 2021.  Three students in Year 2 studied the New Testament and two students in Year 3 studied the spread of Christianity throughout the world. It was very interesting to compare the diverse worlds we encountered in our reading and each group benefited from hearing from each other. We all read the books, Sabbath, and Hospitable Planet: Faith, Action and Climate Change.  Both books introduced new thought for contemporary life.  Each class concluded with a theological reflection on a wide variety of topics from the popular song, “White Christmas”, to implications of Indian Residential Schools. And so together we contemplated much stimulating material during the months of quarantine.
